Donation and Exhibition at the Malvern Historical Society
In 2022, The Rizo Collection partnered with the Malvern Historical Society in Malvern, Ohio, to present a rare public exhibition of Clyde Singer paintings from the collection.
The exhibition featured approximately twenty works from the private Clyde Singer collection owned by Jose L. Rizo. For many visitors, the exhibition created a meaningful opportunity to reconnect with one of Malvern’s most important artists.
The Malvern Historical Society publicly thanked Jose L. Rizo for sharing “a number of works by Malvern’s Clyde Singer” with the community. The paintings remained on display for nearly a month before returning to West Virginia with Jose and his wife, Shavona.
The exhibition was described as a rarity because privately held Clyde Singer works are not often available for public viewing. Through this partnership, The Rizo Collection helped make historically important American artwork accessible to Singer’s hometown community.
